A A A A Author Topic: pocket 6's in a 6 person SNG - Here's another interesting one  (Read 951 times)

Offline cgcook38

From a 6-handed sit and go. The previous hand I bet the flop from the .png[/img]with an open-ended with a Q8o and was called by .png[/img] 5. I filled it on the turn and got it all in by the river when he had two pair. .png[/img] two is sitting out. The BB is a very tight player. What to do here?

imo folding or shoving leaning towards the fold.  Flat calling is a bad option as ur oop and most likely  there will be 3 over cards and he will bet more then likely if he hits or has air and ur left guessing.  Depending on how he has played a shove can be correct if hes been v aggro and you have enough behind ur stack to gambol, but i still prob fold.
chance favors the prepared mind

2-1 to see the flop with a pair, 6 handed game where individuals raise and re-raise w/ any Ace or any two faces, you have a commanding lead even if your forced to fold post flop. CALL and see the flop. Just my thoughts. Not sure why everyone thinks every hand has to be push or fold options.

Not sure why everyone thinks every hand has to be push or fold options.

There is one glaring fact towards the push or fold debate here. Not so much my stack, but his. If I just call his raise there will be 975 chips in the middle going to the flop. If it comes up Xx - Xx - Xx and he goes all in, I will be facing a call of 800 to win 1,775 chips, better than 2-1.

What types of flops would you fold to there? Three of one suit or three Ten or above? What if it comes 9-T-J rainbow? What about 4-5-6 all spades? A - 2 - 7 rainbow? My personal thoughts allow a lot of room for being outplayed or making a terrible mathematical mistake post-flop. Thoughts Brian?

Well I think the likely hood of you being out played is minimal at best, all suited flops are rare and even more rare to hit the only other person in the hand so I wouldn't worry about that either. Sure if big overs come then you fold, but that's if, I mean pushing your in the same boat anyways, only your risking more without as much info, because if you think he's going to fold after putting himself under 1000 chips with his raise then your crazy lol.

Worst case scenario if you call is that you miss the flop and know your behind you've given him about 325 more chips and still chip leader, worst case if you push and he calls and sucks out on the river and he's now doubled up.
What are your implied odds on this hand?

im leaning towards folding,or all in ,pre flop

if ive called his reraise both those flops are likely to have hit is cards,

is starting hand could of been qk ak, damn any a your behind[obviously] .

not easy call if he pushes post flop on either theoretical board,

just my 2 cents .

Exactly how are you behind any Ax?

I just think ita a bad spot to flat...if cook had limped and he bet like 175 200 ish i would be more comfortable flatting.  But the guy 3 bet 1/3 of his stack and as slo said is rarely if ever folding 2 a shove.  But calling ur basically hoping to hit 6 or some type of small or bad board so i cut my loss at the 125 chips and hope the next bet work or i have better hand

if ive put him on either ak  kq   then im behind on both depending which one he as .
and if he as qk    on the a27  board  he will still have outs to redraw n beat you .if hes got ak your miles behind needing spike a 6
if its the 910j   board hes got the nuts ,or the middle pin straight draw. so he would have 10  outs  ,straight or hitting a  or k   plus the old ft kick to the nuts 910   ..9j    etc  pairing the board in other words,,,

Are we reading the same thing? Your saying pre-flop AK or KQ is ahead of 66?
